What does a kitten cost?

Even with discounts or a non-profit clinics, it costs more than $200 to properly vet even a healthy kitten, which is generally more than can be charged as an adoption fee:

Spay/Neuter      $75-$100

Rabies Vaccine    $35

FVRCP Vaccine   $15 x 3 = $45

SNAP combo test (FeLV, FIV)  $65

Revolution (fleas, ear mites, round/hook worms)  $10 x 2 = $20

Often there are additional needs such as further de-worming, or medications for eye or respiratory infections, which are common, and of course there are further expenses for food, litter and other supplies. Your donation helps offset these costs so that we can afford to save more lives!
